Aims
Promote the idea of a unified Europe, cross-border cooperation, communication and integration of young people and creation of an open and tolerant society by involving students and young graduates in valuable projects and discussions over topics of importance for the communities in which they live.

Contribution to UNESCO's programmes Since 1995, AEGEE has maintained sustained cooperation with the Division of Higher Education of the Education Sector. It is a member of the Collective Consultation of NGOs on Higher Education and also belongs to the Student Forum for Higher Education. Its contribution to the activities to follow up the World Conference is appreciated. AEGEE is primarily active in the fields of European integration, the culture of peace and human rights. During the period 1997-2000, a distinct improvement has been observed in the geographical extension of its membership and its Board of Directors. AEGEE is associated with the activities carried out as part of the International Year of Volunteers. It also makes a much appreciated contribution to UNESCO’s youth activities.
