    Make art, art history, and visual culture accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired.

    Activities
    Creates accessible art and art education programs for museums; provides educational materials and guidance to help museums establish and maintain these programs; coordinates activities of the 'Art Beyond Sight Collaborative'; advances knowledge in the issues of blindness, art, sensory perception and capabilities of blind people by bringing together professionals working in many different disciplines; encourages people who are blind or visually impaired to create art and helps them promote their work.

    Contribution to UNESCO's programmes Autumn 2007: AEB has coordinated, in London and in New York, a two-part international conference on multi-modal learning where ADG/CI presented a keynote address, during the Art Beyond Sight Awareness month. AEB is planning to work closely with CI on accessibility standards for community multimedia centres, libraries and archives and on ICT and access to information and knowledge for people with disabilities.
