Contribution to UNESCO's programmes With its limited geographical extension, IAAC is almost entirely European in terms of its leadership bodies and its activities. It is currently engaged in expanding its activities towards Africa and Asia. It enjoys a certain prestige in the spheres concerned by its action. It is a very active and independent organization with a monopoly in its field. Its co-operative relations with UNESCO could be improved. It has in the past received a subvention and Participation Programme aid ($67,000) for six projects from 1990 to 1993. It has not contributed to the consultations on the C/5 and C/4 documents. As matters stand, IAAC does not meet all the requirements for admission to formal relations.
