Aims
Work towards a world where children enjoy and exercise their rights in a just and responsible society; ensure on-going practical, systematic and concerted international action directed towards promoting and protecting the rights of the child, as articulated in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, its optional protocols and other human rights instruments.

Contribution to UNESCO's programmes Since its admission to the former category C in 1994, this NGO has continued to develop practical co-operative relations with UNESCO. It has regularly sent in high-quality documentation and worked, for example, in the context of the programme on early childhood, with which a contract has been concluded for an activity regarding children in armed conflicts. DCI has extended its presence, notably in Africa and the East European countries.
