Contribution to UNESCO's programmes Owing to meetings with NGO focal points in the programme sectors various areas of cooperation have been identified. Cooperation with the culture sector should focus on matters concerning tourism, mountains and development, while that with the social sciences sector, should focus on matters relating to global warming and biodiversity. In addition, a project entailing cooperation with the education sector in order to promote literacy among mountain peoples in Lesotho and South Africa to build a school for girls in the mountains of Pakistan with support from the Aga Khan Foundation is envisaged. Cooperation appears promising to all sectors.
